Is it ok to not get your period at all on birth control?

I have PCOS and I was put on BC for pain and severe nausea during ovulation that was the only time I experienced a problem with pain. I recently went off the Pill because I didn't think it was healthy to not have your period at all. Anyone have any thoughts on this? My periods were regular off the pill it was just ovulation that was a problem.

It's normal sometimes to not have a period on BC pills.

It's very likely that the hormone dose was too high for your body, so you may be better with a pill with a lower dose.

Other than that, it's perfectly fine to not have a period on birth control, and better for some women who have endometriosis and also some with PCOS.
There's no real medical need to have a period while using birth control.
