Explain let down?

Baby is 16 days old and I still don't feel like I've felt the let down thing. She eats til she passes out so I know I'm producing enough but what do you guys feel when it happens?

I have never felt it. You know it happens because baby goes 'suck swallow suck swallow' like they're gulping. Otherwise it's 'suck suck suck swallow'

A strong, warm tingling in your breasts. A bit uncomfortable but not painful. Happens to me alot.

I do not ever feel let down. I EBF and baby is eating like a champ and gaining plenty of weight.

I feel sort of a tingling in deeper into my breasts.

Not everybody will feel the "let down", but don't worry, it doesn't mean that your baby isn't getting enough. When you do feel it, it's like when your legs fall asleep and the feeling starts coming back ( a tingling sensation).

It's like a tingling feeling that lasts a couple of seconds. You may notice your baby gulping or swallowing. The breast baby isn't nursing on may also start to leak. Some women don't feel let down. I wouldn't be concerned if your baby is gaining weight and has 6-8 wet diapers a day.

Sometimes when my little babe gets distracted while nursing hell unlatch during let down and milk will squirt everywhere lol

I breastfed for the first 6 weeks and never felt the letdown. I was over producing like crazy and ended up with tons to freeze for her first few colds. It helped a lot

What exactly is "the let down" ? I'm breastfeeding exclusively but haven't felt this happen. I do know my breast pump machine has a "let down" button???

I have a very strong and fast let down and I can always feel it, sometimes it's on the verge of being painful! But after I feel that feeling I know my milk has let down because my baby is always chugging and gulping!
