What did the first contractions feel like?

I'm mostly interested in contractions from those that went into labor naturally because I know being induced with pitocin makes them stronger than normal ones. I'm 41 weeks and want to know what to look for! Thanks!!

I have had 3 baby all natural. And as I would get close I would get scared with all 3 wondering if I would know it was labor or just crampys. But when you are having them you just know. Mine were strong but nothing that made me scream and want meds. Toward the end it hurt more only because when I would get the contraction I would need to push, my body would just need to. Mine was a tightening around the upper part of my uterus (right under the ribs) that went around my entire torso. I describe it as if a giant rubber and is placed around the torso. And it felt tighter and tighter and moved lower and lower until it was at the bottom of the uterus, and that's when it became painful, towards the bottom- and it would last for a bit, then go away... And obviously, over time it got more intense and painful, and lasted longer, coming closer together. 
My sister said hers began as painful menstral-like cramps.

You'll know exactly when it's happening it's just instinct between you and your body and I've had 3 children all naturally and yes it's very painful it's bareable because as women God made us strong but I won't lie and tell you it's not painful because it is just very worth it at the end! It's like having braxton hicks mixed with period cramps and diarrhea cramps all at once, coming as waves.  Starting slow, then peaking and then fading for a minute or two. Your heart will race and you'll have to remind yourself to breath at first because you'll realize it's the real thing 😊

I just asked my doctor today "how do I k kW real vs fake ones" cause I get cramp-y feelings alot but its hard to pay attention to when one starts & when it stops. She said "you will know. You'll be able to push a button on your contraction counter app as soon as one begins"
