C section or not to c section?

I am currently 29weeks pregnant with my second baby. My first baby is turning 12 years old in May. I had an emergency C-section operation when I delivered her. My obgyn has given me the option to choose my delivery method with my second baby. Considering that my first C-section with my first baby was 12 years ago, I am able to chose between having a natural birth or schedule a c-section this upcoming July. I did a little research and spoke to a few people  (including my OBGYN) and still can't seem to chose what the best delivery method would be. Does anyone have some personal experience and can share some suggestions!??

I had an emergency c-section with my first because of his size, with 2 hours of pushing and using the forseps and suction cup he didn't want to budge. So when my next was measuring the same I had no hesitations in having another c-section. I'm now pregnant with my third and will be having another c-section. It's personal choice but I didn't think it was as bad as some people made it out to be. Good luck with your decision.

With my first 23 months ago I had emergency section after being induced and labouring for 63 hours baby got dostressed. I've just delivered my second boy on 19th March a successful assisted VBAC (because he was back to back and the cord was round his neck) I laboured for 42 hours, only had gas and air up to 8cm and caved for epidural because it was all back labour as he was back to back, I had a 2nd degree tear, they cut me, it was agony! BUT WORTH IT! I'm soooo proud of myself I really am :) the recovery is a lot easier, yes your sore but you can lift things, get around easier, the pain isn't as bad and more controlled with regular pain relief :)! If there's no medical reason for section then do it the easy way, recovery is quicker for starters.  I've had two sections and one vaginal, vaginal is ten times easier!

I'm going on my 4th and last c section. My first was an emergency, I wasn't dilating and baby's heart was slowing down. The only problem I've had with c sections is the medication they give me afterwards makes me super itchy, a side effect. I don't take pain medication afterwards I always forget and I don't really experience pain. Just remember to move afterwards if you go through with a cesarean. I wouldn't change now if I could because I already know what to expect and feel more prepared for it than a vaginal. It's up to you, whatever you feel more comfortable with.

I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my second, I had an emergency c section 10years ago, I'm  pushing for a vaginal birth this time,as I do to want to spend to Long in hospital afterwards,  I want to be home with my oldest.  Also I'd like to experience a vaginal birth as I feel I missed out a lot after the emergency c section. Couldn't hold my naby for 6hours, never gave him his first feed. I think it depends on how you feel personally. I have until the 25th April to decide what I want to do. But I suppose if it's an elective c section experience will be different.
