Falling in love faster?

So I am very new to this whole dating thing and I am wondering if he is falling in love faster than me or I just don't like him as much and that is it. My friends say that I just need more time because he has done this(relationships) before so he is just better at showing it. I really want to believe that because this guy is such a gentleman and I'm worried that I won't find another guy that will treat me so nicely! I feel the chemicals and stuff (so the physical aspect of it) but I'm worried that we can't connect on a mental/emotional level!! Help!! I need some advice!!
