Super long peroid..

So last month I started my period on time right day everything seemed normal.. Then after about 8 days I still hasn't stopped. I was still having a heavy flow.. Well on about the tenth day I started to lighten up and I was do relieved. Well little did I know it was just the calm before the storm.. I continued to bleed lightly for like 3 days then bam waterfalls.. For another two weeks... Then I finally stopped. I was on my period for 3 and a half weeks.. So I stopped taking the birth control I was on and hopefully my next period isn't as long.. I have been on 5 different birth controls and so far none of them have helped..
