How much did circumcision cost?

Question

If you had to pay out of pocket for it how much did it cost you? My insurance doesn't cover it and it would have to be paid for by us. I live in CA btw so idk if that affects price ranges but im curious as to how this all works. 
And ladies please no anti circumcision comments. If you chose not to or disagree with it that's fine for you and your child. You are an awesome parent who did what they believed to be best for your kid. But this is my choice, and this question does not reflect that I am or am not going to, it's just a question I need answered as I weigh my options.

That's crazy! I've never heard of insurance not covering it. I'm on Soonercare in Oklahoma and it covers circumsizing. My mom had all my brothers circumsized for free with it at the hospital.

In Florida at my hospital its $180 cash in hand. If you have a pediatrician then insurance may pay for it if you get it done there..

I think the cost is lower if you do it in the hospital VS later. A quick story;  I raise my nephew and he was left intact at birth. At an appointment his pediatrician pulled his foreskin back, causing an infection later and is having to go through with circumsizing him. It cost about $800 (and serious trama and pain to a child for WEEKS). Needless to say my son due in August will be circumsized. Santimomies can cry all they want over it but truth of the matter is even doctors do not know what to do with an intact penis.

I live in CA also and didn't even think that insurance wouldn't cover it. Did they say why? I'll need to look into this- 😁

Here in Texas, Medicaid would cover it. My son is on his fathers insurance, which is good, but since circumcision isn't a necessity, we had to pay out of pocket, which was $350. And I'm not sure if we had to have a deposit or not.

For me it's $400 out of pocket & we have to pay my OB before labor if we want her to do it before he's discharged from the hospital after birth.

I had all three of my boys circ'd. Cost me around $350 each time. Their pediatricians did it around 7-10 days old.
