This topic is absolutely a huge deal and I'm so glad it's going around! There is too much ignorance on the topic. Circumcision should be left up to the owner of the penis. Not the father. The mother. The grandparents. Etc. 
Foreskin is not a birth defect and should be left alone. 
When intact, don't retract - even a little.
Only clean what is seen. 
My son is intact and we've never had a problem. If when he's older, he chooses to become circumcised, we will discuss everything. He will have to be at least 16 and have a good reason for it (not because a girl wants it done, that's selfish and I wouldn't want that person in my son's life). Circumcision is a permanent, life altering cosmetic procedure that can have such huge negative side effects. If you would not sit back and have someone strap you down and cut your clitoris off (which was only banned in 1997), without anesthesia and pain meds to follow, you shouldn't allow your son to have such a traumatic procedure done. Watch a video of a baby being circumcised. If you cannot watch it without feeling sick, disgusted, nervous, sad or any other negative emotion...and don't believe you could sit beside your son while he screams and goes into shock, you should not be getting him circumcised.

The majority of males around the world ate intact and perfectly healthy... Given a good wash routine a bit will grow p and keep it clean and healthy... My husband wasn't circ'd and he was shocked at how many American boys are done so casually... He's Chilean and its considered a medical procedure there similar to getting your tonsils out..  Even today he isn't she why so many people here do it... The "health benifits"  he thinks are negligent since hygiene has improved inn the past 100 years.. And he thinks the std/sti part is bogus since that study was from the 60s in Africa and only studied intact males...  Its interesting how cultures vary so much but i really can't find anything wrong with the foreskin...

To me? Nope, but it isn't my penis so unless there's a medical emergency or something extreme, it is my son's decision.

I'm leaving it up to his father since he actually has a penis. When my brothers were born, the father had to he present to choose circumcision or not.
