Did you go into labor at your baby shower?

My shower is today in about 6 hours and I've been having more contractions than usual since yesterday and I'm pretty sure they are also getting stronger. I'm 37 weeks, so technically term.  Just wondering if anyone has any stories about going into labor at their shower 😊 thanks 😀

Well with my first my fiance and I walked around a whole bunch the day before looking for outfits for our shower the next day and I sat down in the shoe store and told him he is going to make me go into labor before i even get to make it to the baby shower. That night we came home my dog was extra clingy to me, he slept under my feet (literally). So at 2am I woke up to take my usual pee and took some robitussin because I had a cold at the time and felt normal so I had went back to sleep. I woke back up at 430am assuming I had to poop lol I couldnt poop but I kept going back to try so I had woke my fianxe up around 510am to clean the tub out so I could take a warm bath hoping that would help me poop I took the bath it didnt help so I got out walked around for a while then by 530am I tried once again to poop and xould only pee so when I wiped my mucus plug and blood was on the tissue. So I woke my fiance up to show him and we both were freaking out we had called my mother in law and told her about the pains she said i was too calm so it was probably just braxton hicks. But because we seen blood my fiance and I still called an ambulance. The paramedics arrived around 550am they told my fiance it wasnt labor I was way to calm, so I had then started thinking it wasnt labor. We still went to the hospital. We arrived around 615am and by the time I seen a nurse I was already 6cm dilated. Everyone was extremely shocked lol. So bt the time I reached 8cm around 1130am the doctor didnt think I could have an epidural because of the fact I had back surgery. I automatically started freaking out at the thought of pushing her out without it luckily the did it. At around 1245pm I was 9cm and my water had broke funniest thing in my life btw. So the nurses kept telling me if you feel the urge to push dont do it. As soon as they said that I started feeling the urge lol. I was finally 10cm at 115pm and pushed my daughter out in 3-4 pushes she was born at 126pm which left everybody

Term is considered 39 weeks now (at least that's what my doctor told me) I lost my mucous plug at my shower when I was 35 weeks and was getting consistent contractions but fortunately baby held on. I think my contractions were directly related to stress. I'm Now 39 weeks.

My mom missed her baby shower with my little brother, we had a house full of people and she was in the hospital delivering lol
