Do you celebrate Christmas or promote Santa?

I personally choose not to tell my child about Santa. If she's curious, I'll tell her about the true Saint Nicholas. I know it can be beneficial in relating the positive aspects of his character to Jesus but I just rather not go thru with the whole "Your behavior depends on what materialistic objects you receive from him this year." thing. To me it's only a lie that's shortly lived and there's no need for it. I also recently discovered the true origin of Christmas and am still in debate on whether to partake in some of the holiday's traditions as I do not want to go against God's Ten Commandments.
