Need help and opions

I have been a manger at my current job which is a gas station chain for 6 years and was told 8 months ago to move foward and get a promation in the company i would have to fix my teeth ( i have geneticly bad teeth and no one in my family has made it past 30 with there teeth) back in feb i went ahead and got all my teeth pulled and dentures put in. Now here we are in april and have yet to start traning for my promation. I meet with the manger the first week of march and was told that i had the promation but im still waiting. I guess the question i have for you guys is what should i do about this? Should i talk with a lawyer cause here i am still in alot of pain and now with a bunch of debt from this surgery and no postive outcome to show from it. Im beyond frustrated and i just dont know where to go from here
