Sick during labor?

I'm probably freaking out over a whole lot of nothing, but I'm 39+3 and if I'm sick during labor do they keep me away from the baby? I woke up with a cough, sore throat, and stuffy nose today and I'm due any day now.

Ask for a medical face mask. That goes over your mouth and nose.

Don't shy away from your baby while you're sick!!  Breastfeeding while having a cold passes antibodies to the baby which in turn helps build their immune system.

My husband's cousin had the stomach flu a couple days before giving birth. They wouldn't induce her because she was sick but if she went into labor on her own there was nothing they can do about it. She went into labor while still sick and  was still able to hold her baby and do what she normally did. I'd ask your doctor just to make sure it will be okay.
