Babies/Toddlers and Electronics

How do you feel about babies/toddlers having their own or using electronics? I've been a nanny and early childhood educator for several years and a lot of the young children I've cared for and taught had their own tablet/phone to play games/watch videos on. I've never liked the idea too much bc it usually made the children distant and irritable and I, personally, believe there are better ways for them to enjoy themselves and learn. Obviously, every child is different and limiting their time typically made a difference but it always had an impact on their behavior. I'm not attempting to bash electronics or the parents that use them- do what you wish with your children. I'm just genuinely curious everyone's take on it or what they plan to do. Thanks! ✌🏼️
