Birth Story:
I had preterm labor with all of my pregnancies and 2 preterm deliveries.
I got my last 17p shot in my 35th week (my last baby was a 35 weeker ), I'd been 3cm since 32 weeks this time around. Anywho, Friday 2/19, I started contracting regularly around 8pm.. I'd already taken Benadryl so I eventually fell asleep but kept waking up with them throughout the night.
I woke up the next morning around 8, when to pee and for the first time in 4 pregnancies I experienced blood show! The day went on and contractions were very irregular.
Around noon they started up extremely painful and 4 min apart. Got to L&D around 1:30 and I was a 4-5... Within the hour I was already a 6. My husband was still at home waiting on a sitter for our other children; so I got some IV pain meds and they slowed contractions down some and I was able to relax until he finally showed up.
They came to break my water around 5:45 and i was already a 7.
At 6:10 they came and checked me- I was complete with his head "sitting right there", (the doctor showed me his finger and pointed to the first knuckle) "your baby's head is that far into your vagina" ha
and we pushed on the next contraction and he came out with one push!
No tears!
He was doing well, except for his blood sugar.
he got admitted to nicu And spent 9 days there.
