Help reading pathology report?

Question

My doctor never discussed the test results with me, so finally I called today and asked for copies of the reports. I don't really understand everything it says. I attempted to google some of it, but haven't had much luck. Are any of you ladies well versed in medical jargon, and can you please help me understand? Thank you!

I work for a dr that does biopsies regularly. That's not the pathology report. Just a description of the material they received for the testing to be ran on. There should be another report listing the types of testing they did on the specimen they received. Sometimes that takes quite a few days.

So I'm an RN , will give it a go but there is some technical gobbidlygook in there I don't get.  There was a sac with what appeared to be blood clots and pink fluid but no fetal parts (blighted ovum perhaps? So no identifiable fetus) there was, however, chorionic villi which is part of a placenta. The stain was checking for molar pregnancy which was negative (good thing). And that's as far as I go.

Wish I could help, can't say I know how to decipher it either -  but if your doctor won't talk with you and answer your questions I would definitely recommend finding one that you feel more comfortable with.  You can take these results with you and another doctor should be able to help too.  So sorry for your loss and good luck.

Hey there, I'm 100% not a doctor and have experienced three losses. From what I can tell it's not a specific prognosis, more so explaining in detail what was collected. Did you get a D&c?
