Stool softener?

I'm 34 weeks and keep having hard stools. I have stool softeners that I can take but last time it barely did anything. I wanna try taking two but I don't know how long in between I should wait. How many hours should I wait in between pills?

Take up to 3 a day. Spread out.

You can take them regularly throughout the day but they don't help unless you take them  regularly everyday. If you skip or decide not to take them for a day you are wasting your time.

You could always try miralax. Stool softeners don't work for me.
