20 week anomaly scan UK - gender confusion!

Chloe
So we went for an early gender scan at 16 weeks and were told we were having a boy. As it was early, and scans can never be 100% accurate, I have held off buying anything until after our 20 week NHS scan which was today.
Today, the sonographer asked if we wanted to know the sex at our 20 week scan and we said we'd been for an earlier scan that suggested it was a boy, but could they please take another look and tell us what they think. Anyway, the sonographer was very odd and not at all talkative - she just said 'oh, I had a better view of his boy bits before' and 'I think I've seen some testes ' - and that was it! She was acting rather strangely about the whole thing. I can't decide whether she felt she didn't need to go in to too much detail as we had already been told it was a boy at our previous scan, or whether she just wasn't sure so didn't want to say?
Has anyone else had this experience?
I now don't feel confident that it's a boy and am thinking we may have to pay for ANOTHER gender scan to confirm! I really don't want to do that, but I feel a little let down and unsure. All seemed healthy with the baby as far as we know, which is what is really important, but she didn't seem to want to answer any of our questions!
