Opk and hpt

Michelle • 33 year old from Australia , currently pregnant with baby #4 a boy..miss 7 mr 5 miss 1 and prince due 26/01/17
So i heard ladies getting a positive opk before a bfp .
I took a hpt today bfn 
Took opks all week to test the theory , well they have been almost none existant until today. Now it's still not as dark as control line but it's heaps darker then it's been . Would the same theory work ? Any ladies experience this ?
