Why are some saying you aren't out of your first trimester until the end of 13 weeks and why are others saying you are at week 12? I'm so confused?

Answer

12 weeks is when the miscarriage rate drops dramatically, but it's not quite the end if the first trimester. Your pregnancy is 40 weeks, divide that I to three trimesters and they're roughly 13 weeks and 2 days each. So by the end if week 13 you're into your second trimester :)
