Missed period

Heads up this might be long.

So i stopped taking bc pills in july, had a laparoscopy that same month. August my af was completely normal, come september it was a week late. Now this month im going on cycle day 38 still no af. I have had unprotected sex around what i think was fertile days. Had a negative hpt yesterday though. I dont want to get my hopes up just to be let down. No more stress than usual lately and ive been less active than i was before but i dont think that would make it late. Have had other symptoms of pregnancy but they might be caused by me hoping lol. Any ideas ladies?? I typically dont even worry bout af being late until its at least 4 days late cuz it varies by a few days each month. Thanks in advance for any help!
