It's because most people this day and age have no common decency towards another human being. They do what they want and believe that's the only correct way of getting things done. Which is why our world is in shambles because of people who are self entitled and close minded. We need to all support one another as human beings and look far beyond the spectrum of what we have come to know as our lives and how we live them. We can't judge others before we fully comprehend their story and reasoning for their decisions. I truly believe we must walk a mile in someone else's shoes before we can make a logical and sound judgment on their situation, because it's true when they say you never will truly understand until it happens to you.
