How far along were you when you got tested? Do you have it? If so what does it feel like?

Hi Julia!! I just commented on your other topic, too! 😝 I was about 27-28 weeks when I was tested, and I do have it. I peed a lot, got really thirsty, etc. which are also symptoms of pregnancy in general so I didn't suspect that I had it until the doc told me. It's not that bad, though, you test your glucose four times a day and adjust your diet/exercise. If that doesn't work (as pregnancy progresses your insulin resistance may get worse) then they suggest meds. I'm still at the diet and exercise part.

I already have my appointment  for it set. I will be 24 weeks

Dr's like to test around 28 weeks. My Dr gave me the lab paper around 26 weeks but told me to wait until around 28 weeks. I found out at my last Dr appointment that I passed. My dr said to fast before appointment but I didn't have to if I wanted to eat something small I could. Same with the guy who scheduled my appointment he said the same thing but also said some women fail who didn't fast. Everyone's body is different because there's women who don't fast and still pass, but I decided not to eat anything and only had water.
