Spotting help

Ok ladies I need help my period was due on the 28 th this month but I have been spotting Brown and light pink.I'll put a pad on but nothing goes on it.then last night it was red so I put another pad on still nothing on it.and now it's Brown and light only when I wipe so does anyone know if this is a period or not.bc I never had one like this and I don't have cramps nothing like I would if I was on my period my books don't hurt nothing
