Not including the father, who did you first tell that you were pregnant?

Also comment on how soon you told that person! I just tested and got a positive and I want to scream it to the world, but I know that I probably shouldn't just yet.

Had to tell my dentist, as he wanted to do x-rays. Also told my assistant at work, so she would understand why I was nauseous at the office.

Hey if you want to tell people you go for it. I found out really early, at 3 weeks 4 days.  I took 2 tests at home (the early detection) and got a doctor to confirm just in case. 
Then we told everyone. Family, Facebook friends. I get why some people keep it a secret but I think of it this way. If something bad where to happen, I wouldn't have to walk around with that secret, or tell a bunch of people slowly. I'd have tons of support, and it's easier to cope with a broken heart when you have tons of support

I told my my mother in law.. she really wanted a baby from her only son and she would always ask if I missed my period so she had to know first. Then I called my mother and then told my sisters😊😊

My 14 year old daughter was the first to know.. But that's be cause I had forgotten to throw away a negative pregnancy test.  A week later I had a positive one and told her.  Then I told my husband, a handful of friends, my sister, my dad and my MIL.  We kept it off social media until we learned the baby's gender at 18wks.  Then we announced it.  :)

On the day of the positive test, I told my husband and 2 best friends that helped me thorough a recent miscarriage.

Told a couple more close friends for similar reasons in the time between the test and waiting for positive bloodwork and a viability ultrasound.

Didn't tell any family or our daughter until after we saw the heartbeat at 7w. Told everyone at 8w (I was too sick to hide it any longer).

My twin sister, mom, and best friend. Then we waited until we were 10 weeks to tell the rest of the family, and 12 weeks to post on social media.

Mom was with me when I found out. Next I called my boyfriend. Then my cousin who is very close to me. Then dad and so on and so forth. After everyone important knew I posted it to social media to tell friends and distant family
