What are everyone's thoughts on "handed down" cribs?? My co-worker wants to give me a sleigh crib that was bought and used in 2011. I read online that it goes by how wide the slates are and anything built before 2011 is expired. I know car seats expire but what about cribs?? I won't be using bumpers and I'll make sure the mattress fits accordingly but the actually make of the crib? This is my 2nd child and with my 6 year old the crib was bought brand new.
