Should the father of your unborn want to go to the doctors appts.?

My husband went to the important ones. But not all of them. It's more important for him to work than to go to every apt where the doc measures me, checks vitals, and goes over any questions I have. It only takes 10-15 min and I'm done. He went for the first ultrasound, the anatomy ultrasound, and our 4d ultrasound. All the rest of just been me.

Honestly only the ultra sound ones are important for him to go to in my opinion. Those are fun, but other than that its pretty boring and once you get further along they are real quick so its a hassle to have him take off work. Maybe at the very end the last few appts if he can make it so he can hear whats going on too.

Mine didnt want to go to mine. He went to the dating US and recently just went again at 14w. He really didnt seem interested at all until I told him the baby could hear him. Now he rubs my belly, talks to it and is going to my next US tomorrow. Just takes them time. They dont want to hear about our pooping or cramping, last missed periods or any of that. Lol

My fiancé doesn't go to the doctors appointments cuz they are just check ups and talk but he goes to the ultrasounds! Once I start going in for the every week check ups he said he wants to go but as of now he likes the ultra sounds!

I'm impressed how we are going trough all of pregnancy hustle and bustle, nervousness, hard talks with provider etc. but still worry for our dear husbands not to bother, and not to be harassed :) Anyway, I think they should be as much involved as possible, it's their baby too and even if it's boring or hard or whatever it would be really wonderful for them to be completely involved.

My husband doesn't go to all of them because it doesnt make sense to take off work just to see me get weighed and get my vitals taken, but he goes to any appt that involves getting an ultrasound because he actually gets to see the baby. He doesn't show it much but he smiles without realizing it when he sees her on the screen. I am 29 weeks now and he is more involved with talking to her and feeling her move, I think it just took some time for it to sink in that there was really a baby in there. He became much more affectionate to my belly when I started showing and feeling kicks. I think men are just visual and they don't experience it in the same way, but that doesn't necessarily mean they aren't excited!

Not necessarily, doctor appointments are so quick so unless they have certain questions it's not necessary. They should go atleast once to meet the doctor and to as many US as they can but just a reg appointment no. Just. Pee test, BP, and heartbeat
