First time

I've been dating my boyfriend for over a year and we've don't see each other much due to school an work an me taking care if disabled parent. Is it wrong of me to have him wait? Ik he's a virgin an is ok with waiting longer but he's gonna be leaving for college soon an be 3 hrs away and I want to do it before he leaves but I'm scared since we don't see each other much an I don't want it to be like the only thing we do when we finally get to see each other... any tips on how to control ur self when waiting an any tips for when it is ur first time?
