Flying in the 1st trimester...

I found out I'm pregnant last week :-), and I have 2 trips booked within US in over the next few weeks....haven't had my first doc's visit yet to ask....any thoughts on flying in the first trimester, is it safe? And is it safe to go through the TSA screening scans
