Can you have sex after losing mucus plug?

Drs say it's fine unless you've had some crazy pregnancy issues. It's when your water breaks you're not supposed to have sex due to risk of infection.

My midwife actually encouraged us to have sex yesterday. Went in to be checked after losing mucus plug yesterday morning. She did a deep sweep and told us to go home and have sex.
