I suck at surprises 🙄

All this time I honestly thought he just wanted to stick with our Mother's Day plan, to go to a botanical garden... I decided for us not to go because of possible crappy weather in the forecast. Turns out he had something up his sleeves, so I got this surprise instead:

I wouldn't change this moment for the world! Although he had such a beautiful idea of where & how to propose, I found this to be so much more personal & just plain old perfect 💕 he waited until princess was put to sleep & had the stairway downstairs & into the living/dining room area all lit up with candles. Of course I cried! & to top it off, he did such an amazing job on the ring!! 😍
