How long does it take for food to reach the baby?

I just wanted to know how long does it take for food to reach your baby once you have eaten? Also do you have to eat regularly and how often? Please help x

I didn't eat hardly anything in my first trimester and what I did eat I threw up.. my 2nd I was an endless pit and now in my 3rd I'm back to not wanting food. I pick throughout the day.. I hardly ever eat a full meal. The baby will absorb what it needs off you.  Like my OB said. Babies are amazing parasites

Its not literal food that goes to the baby.. Its nutrients.. My OB said to eat every 3-4 hours l.. Like a snack or something but to go longer wont hurt baby...

The baby will get nutrients from you throughout pregnancy. So if you're sick during your first trimester, don't worry too much. The baby isn't needing too much yet.

30 minutes after you eat something though is when the baby can taste it in the amniotic fluid later in your pregnancy. I believe it's 30 minutes anyway.
