When to start shopping for baby 🤔

When did you start shopping for baby ? We should be finding out the gender in the next couple days so I kind of want to start to get some things but don't really know how to start I guess . What were some things you got when you first started buying things ? & what kind of dippers do you mommys think are best to get?

I started buying baby clothes the day I found out it was a boy. Then after that I started decorating his room all Mickey Mouse.

Diapers: I prefer Huggies.

My husband and I went out and bought the big stuff (crib/stroller/Travel tender/car seat) after I passed the 12th week. I didn't start buying gender related things until I found out I was having a girl. It was also around Christmas time so a lot of the big stuff was on sale! For diapers, I've been buying huggies, mainly because that's the brand Costco sells so you can get them in bulk

I prefer pampers when they infants newborn to size 2 and then Huggies size 3 and up. Pampers has that yellow line down the middle that turns green when your baby uses the bathroom which is very helpful when you are sleep deprived and not sure if your kid needs a change or not. And Huggies are more protective when the loads get bigger.

Got most of the big stuff before gender reveal (it is all neutral) and we have clothes and stuff now.

That being said I wouldn't worry about diapers, most hospitals provide those.

I found out gender at 12 weeks and started shopping since then.  I am 18 weeks have diapers, clothes, wipes, his pack n play, his swing, and I will be ordering his furniture at 20 weeks.

Once you know the gender of your baby the best thing is to go ahead and create your registry. You don't want to buy a bunch of stuff that others might be willing to buy you for your baby shower. And in the mean time if you a cute little tutu or cool spider man outfits you can buy those but put all the big stuff on your registry.

I didn't buy anything until after my baby shower. I'm so glad I waited! We were blessed and got so much stuff! We only have to buy swings and towels. Everything else we got.
