We can't afford to put the baby on our insurance (it would increase our monthly bill from $100 to $550!). So we want to put the baby on Medicaid as soon as it's born so it will be covered for everything it needs. Should I have those forms ready at the hospital? Or do I have time after the birth to get all that settled?
