C-section or natural birth???

Hey girls im a first time mom to be and i would love to try and give birth naturally but i am wondering with an ob/gyn will i need to get a c-section or if everything is going good will i be able to give birth naturally???  Or do i need a midwife to give birth naturally?? This may sound like a stupid question but im really confused dont know how it would work.

Usually the only reason you would have a c-section is for an emergency/last resort. I delivered my first baby vaginally and my second via c-section. I've always had doctors and delivered at a hospital. My recovery with the c-section was a lot harder and longer so you should definetly hope for a vaginal delivery of at all possible.

You can give birth naturally as long as you and baby are safe, there are many factors that can lead to c-section, but your doctor wouldn't be one of them. Talk with your doctor about it and make sure they are supportive of your birth plan. That being said, also keep in mind that your doctor knows what they're doing

NO! You don't have to have a c-section if you have an OB. Almost all OBs want patients to go for a natural (medicated or not) delivery, unless there is a medical reason the mom needs a c-section. If mom opts for c-section with no medical reason, the doctor will go with moms wishes.
