Bicornate Uterus?

Question

Does anyone else have a Bicornate Uterus? (It's when your uterus is in the shape of a heart). My baby is in the right side and I'm scared that there will be a point where there's not a ton of room for him to move around and he'll come too early? Anyone else hear about this or know anything more? (I'm 20weeks btw)

I have a bicornate uterus My First Son came full term perfectly fine this one it's dipping down more of a heart shape but so far everything's good and I'm 23 weeks and 5 days

I also have BU! Im almost 23 weeks and eveything is perfect! Tons of room and fluid so far! I get ultrasounds every other week to monitor my cervical length and fluid leves! Good luck to you! In most cases everything works out just fine :) just need more monitoring of thing!

I have a unicornate uterus (so basically only half a heart) and didn't even know it my first pregnancy.  He was born via c section because he was breech.  This little girl will be another c section and I'm not worried.  Your uterus will stretch enough for your baby and be just fine.

My step-daughter's mom has a bicornate uterus. They watched her very carefully the entire pregnancy, my husband says they did an ultrasound every appointment and that his ex-wife was on bed rest for the last two months of her pregnancy. My step-daughter was born about 6 weeks early (at 6lbs and healthy) via c-section, unfortunately she was under her mother's ribs and they had to break two of her ribs to get her out.

Never heard of that! That's really strange and interesting though. I've got a frisbee placenta (Circumvallate placenta) which will hinder baby's growth but it's situated on my left side so I have the same hopes as you.

Do you get more frequent ultrasounds?

Yes! This is my third baby too. My first I had a completely normal vaginal birth at 39 weeks, my second was a bit more complicated. She was born transverse at 39 weeks via csection. Throughout my pregnancy she was very unstable (as far as position) moving all around from head down, breech to transverse. I ended up having a T incision (she was stuck) c section which requires me to have only c sections for future pregnancies and at 36-37 weeks. Both of my girls grew just fine and were completely healthy! This pregnancy a baby boy is growing right on track,  he will be here a little early!

That's really interesting. I had never heard of that before. I just have a big ol fibroid hanging out in there with my baby so I'm hoping there isn't w growth restriction either. Best of luck to you with your little one ❤️
