Natural birth?

I am 17, going to be 18 when the baby is born. I am planning on having a birth without an epidural as I have minor spinabifida. Any advice ladies? How was it? Was the pain manageable? 😩 I'm due in September and the closer I get, the more nervous I get.

I had the natural birth in mind, the pain was intense for me but remember not everyone feels it the same..after 12hrs i had only dilated 2cm and since my water had broke already, the dr suggested epidural to ease the pain and let my body relax and dilate.  I agreed and got epidural and was able to get some rest. I finally dilated to 10cm and I pushed for 2hrs, but the cord wrapped around baby's neck and I ended up with an emergency C section at the end of it all..  Be open to changing ur mind and go with thr flow once the time comes.  As long as you and the baby are healthy. I was a week past my 18th birthday when I had my first... all natural as the place i had my baby epidural etc was not an option. Everything went well. I had no idea what to expect pain wise etc.   Dont be surprised if you change your mind once you get there and things start happening. Good luck to you!

The pain is intense but you will be able to do it. I suggest you loook into hypnobirthing. It helps you relax into contractions making them less painful and the descent easier for baby.  I'm so proud I delivered naturally. I feel like I really "earned my stripes" as a woman. 
I think it's lovely you intend to deliver naturally!  My main advice for you is
* labor at home as long as possible. Distract yourself with chores or shopping or whatever. You want to dialate as much as possible before going in to avoid being given Piticin which makes contractions more painful. 
Use a heating pad on your back. 
*labor in a bathtub when labor intensifies to relax
*hire a doula who knows Maßage so she can help "open your hips" during labor. And Maßage you and other acupressure stuff for pain relief and support. They cost about $250-$500 dollars.
