Question about labor:

For any women on here who have had babies before, what does labor feel like?

I'm 4 months pregnant with my second baby, lost my first at 8-10 weeks. I understand that miscarriage is basically a small, lesser form of labor. When it happened I woke up to a feeling like I had peed lightly on myself and then it was intense cramping and pushing but being the baby was still so small it only took an hour or so and then another couple hours to pass the placenta (which felt really weird).

I'm just a tiny bit scared of labor and delivery. I have (give or take) about 5 months to go. I fully plan on going natural. No medications. This is meant to be a natural event. A lot of our ancestors went through this with no medicine, no numbing, sometimes no help at all.

If I could just get a detailed (or as detailed as you'd like to get) story of your individual experience, it would help me greatly. I know every pregnancy, and every birth is different.
