9 weeks and the heartbeat was 180...what do we think on gender?

I've heard both. It's not a very accurate thing. Mine at 9 weeks was 173. They say the higher the heart rate it's a girl. But most people I know had boys and the heart rate was high.

The old wives tale is under 150 boy over 150 is girl. However I was informed early in pregnancy is not when it rings true they use to use it before they could use ultrasound to predict gender but closer to the arrival of the baby.

With that being said my son was 178bpm around this point in pregnancy. When I was hospital bound close to his birth it was 140s. While I was hospital bound I asked the nurses about this old wives tale and they told me it does ring mostly true BUT only close to birth. They had me guessing off the other people monitors on the screen if I thought boy or girl and most rang true. Of course close to birth when you've already had the u/s to find out the sex.

I was reading about this theory as my babies heartbeat was 180 too today at 9w 3d but a lot of ppl I saw have proved it inaccurate so I'm so confused lol. I did see a post that said its more accurate the further along you are because in the beginning most babies heart rates are fast. We'll see happy and healthy 9 months!

At 9 weeks my sons HR was 180... Now my second it was 182, but I think I'm having a girl...we will see!
