Engagement rings?!💍

Are you suppose to get a marriage proposal ring or no ring from your man or lady in your life before your just jump into planning wedding???  My friend is getting married in August and she didn't get any ring or a marriage proposal from her boyfriend/ baby's dad and they jump into planning a wedding pretty last minute cuz none of her friends or family new about it until last month......she also told me me she's getting married (she's 24 this year) cuz of her daughter and I'm thinking its a little bit weird but at the same time I'm happy for her  but I'm concerned if she really ready to get married cuz she told me last year she was questioning her relationship with her man 😕
