Bloody Discharge

I'm almost 36 weeks pregnant and I just went to the bathroom and when I wiped, there was some blood in the discharge. The past few days, the discharge has like doubled and it's very thick and white. Also, I've been having contractions for the past couple weeks now but nothing too serious. Starting about three days ago, the contractions and cramps have gotten tremendously worse. They'll have a pattern for awhile, maybe thirty minutes but then they'll stop. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I would like to wait until then if I can. I also know this was not my mucus plug because I lost it when I was 23 weeks pregnant and it looks nothing like that, I went to L&D then but they said it wasn't serious and that I shouldn't worry. I just don't know what to do.
