Contractions ?

33 weeks tomorrow, First time mom here and last night I woke up To horrible stomach pain, I believe they were contractions they would come and go about every 15 min but my stomach still ached and was sore in between. Went on for 3-4 hours.  They are gone now and I left my doc a voicemail on what it was and what I should do, anyone else experience anything like this?
