Schedule c section??

My dr just told me I'm having a scheduled c section. The natural labor process will be hard on my body. So I wanna know what's a scheduled c section procedure? What happens when you first arrive and what happens after? Does it hurt?

challenging to help them when u can't move below your boobs. This is where I first latched and breastfed both my boys. After 1-2 hrs you will go back to your room. My hospital doesn't want you up for 12-18 hrs, so that evening I was up and in bathroom, catheter came out. Next morning up and down, that evening showered once iv came out. They gave me an abdominal binder to wear. I was discharged in morning of day 4. Recovery is painful but tolerable if you stay on top of meds. Oh you will have to poop before you leave, which is scary, I've always gone then next morning without problem, but some women have a hard time. You will be gassy too and need to let it out or else it hurts! My staples came out 3 days after discharge, I was feeling better by 3 weeks with first, a little longer with 2nd.

His will be my 3rd csection this July. You have to fast for atleast 8 hrs, arrive at hospital, get hooked up to a monitor to watch baby, get IV started, give you fluids. Nurses and dr come in and out signing papers explaining procedures. You drink this nasty sour stuff (like a small shot) to settle your stomach just in case. Then you walk back to operating room, it will be freezing cold, sit on the table and nurse helps you bend forward for they can do spinal, not that bad little pinch and burn, then they will lay you down and put in your catheter you will be numb so you won't feel it thankfully! Your anastesisologist will be doing you blood pressure and watching oxygen levels and talking to you to distract you. I always get nauseous so tell them right away he will give you something. Your dr will test your abdomin to make sure your numb, then they will start. You might smell the cauterizer as they cut you, when they are pulling out baby you may feel some pressure and tugging but not pain. Baby will come out my dr holds baby up, then nurses do a quick assessment of baby is stable you get skin to skin in operating room while they close you up. The. You go to recovery, they will clean you up, give you pain meds, you will still be numbe and unable to move legs so it's a little

I had to do it 7 years ago and but since I'm pregnant now I have to do it on my second birth too. The cut is like about 3inches long (vertical) but it doesn't show its so low that even your bikini bottom will cover it. I was there in the hospital Instand of 3 days, it was 4 days, you will still bleed like you're on your heaviest period of course your body gotta drain everything out. They will give you painkillers it's gonna be hard the first few days it hurts to cough, sneeze, whichever makes your stomach muscles move. Good luck I prefer it over natural birth because I don't have to get stitched up down there.

I'm 11 d pp from a scheduled c section .. My best advice is get up and move .. Once your allowed to even if it's a little it helps so much to move around. I also wore something that goes around my stomach to keep it tight that helps also.  It wasn't bad at all. I'm moving around normal now

I had a somewhat scheduled c section with my first pregnancy, a twin pregnancy. It was elective, I chose to have one. For me I was put in a private room for a few hours because my doctor was delivering a baby at the time. While in there a bunch of nurses came in and out for all different reasons; paperwork, checking on you, shaving you downstairs if needed, etc. The actual surgery process is a breeze once you get past the spinal block. It isn't too painful but the wipes are so cold they hurt. After that they lay you down, get your catheter going, hook you up to everything, and should tell you to let them know if you get nauseous and they'll give you medicine to help. I personally didn't even know they had started cutting until my mom came in. She said something and I actually said "Oh they already started?" lol It feels like they're pushing your belly back and forth really hard, no pain at all. Lots of pressure when they pull the baby out. You may or may not be able to breathe through your nose, I couldn't whatsoever but that was a combination of getting over bronchitis and sinusitis and the medication they give you during surgery. Once they're done they'll show you the baby, and get you cleaned up while someone cleans the baby. Once you're in a recovery room it gets painful. A nurse has to come in a few times and push extremely hard on your lower belly to get all the blood out. Obviously you are just cut open inside and out so its gonna hurt a good bit. I honestly felt like the whole thing took 10 minutes, when it really took about 2 hours. Recovery is different for everyone, take it at your own pace and don't rush anything. Just make sure to get up and walk as soon as you can. They'll make you but how far you go is up to you, try to go a good ways even when your body is screaming to stop, it'll help you in the long run I promise. Wait what?  Do you have a medical condition that says you can't labor naturally?  Just curious because you don't state much on ur post and the little that was written makes it seem like nothing was explained.
