Taking medication while pregnant?

I'm just curious on what everyone's opinions are on taking any sort of medication while pregnant? Antidepressants, sleep aids, etc? I am prescribed meds by my doctor for certain things, but just wondering what everyone thought about it.

Only take medicine approved by your doctor. Don't trust what someone else's doctor said. Just ask your doctor because only your doctor knows what you need

I take Zoloft.....the benefits outweigh the risks for me. Tylenol for occasional back pain. Besides prenatals I also take Ultra Omega 3 which is awesome for my heart health, cholesterol and for baby's brain development.

My sister took seizure meds and thyroid meds her entire pregnancy. She had to or risk having a seizure and losing the baby. Her baby is fine and very healthy.

I think it's fine especially if the risk of not taking outweighs any known risks to the baby.

I'm high risk, complicated medical case and there are medications I must take.

Thankfully I'm in good health, and as a general rule I avoid medicine when at all possible. If I have to (migraine or once when I had severe back pain), I take a minimal dose. 
However, everyone's health and circumstances are unique! As long as you are consulting with your doctor, it's fine.
