Local anaesthetic?

I am in my second trimester and have a painful tooth! My dentist has advised to check with my doctor if I can take the local anaesthetic injection. Has anybody had this? Is it safe during pregnancy? And does anybody know about root canal in pregnancy? Thanks in advance xx

Mine didn't do one because it wasn't necessary, but I think you can wear this apron thing over your body that blocks the xray if you need to have one done.

Yes. My dentist used a different type of novacane than they usually use but yes I had dental work done while pregnant.

I had 3 local anesthetic injections in my face and my surgeon said it would be fine. The baby was all fine according to the scan
