So I desperately want to breastfeed my baby (first time mum) I'm 19 weeks so haven't discussed this with my midwife yet but not only do I have inverted nipples but about a year ago I had an abscess on one breast close to my nipple. It never quite heald after I had it drained and when I saw a specialist at 7 weeks she said she could operate and take the infected piece of skin of and stitch it back so it heals but they won't operate until baby is born so I'm wondering if anyone else has had anything like this and still managed to breastfeed? Any similar situations or advice appreciated or any advice of how to heal it naturally before my baby comes.
