Declining hospital supplies?

Brooke

So I was just browsing pinterest, and can across a article saying how to decline certain things to save money on your hospital bill...

Some of these she mentioned are:

Motrin/ Tylenol for pain management after birth, for pain

Sanitary pads

Ice pack pads

Diapers

Numbing/aneseptic(sp) spray for your lady bits

She basically said they charge you 3xs for using theirs compared to bringing your own.

Her dosage of Motrin alone for her stay came to 300$.

To me it reminds me of those stocked fridges in the hotel rooms where you are charged if anything is drank/ate.

Never thought or knew they charged you for use of these items before? Maybe I'm just behind the ball on this one?

Anyone else have more information/input on this?

Let me know what you plan on declining during your stay to help curve the medical costs, and/or educate what else you can decline!

Hope others were as shocked as I was and I'm just not that out of the loop ha.
