Braxton Hicks or Contractions?

I can never tell! Any pointers on how to tell?

They make your stomach feel really tight, almost like a balled up fist and like you're involuntarily tightening all your abs. Some women think it's just their baby pushing out really hard, but that's most likely a Braxton Hicks contraction. Sometimes they give you the urge to pee because your uterus gets so tight. And yes...they are WAY different than REAL contractions during active labor. There is no comparison 😳

I knew I was in true labor with contractions when nothing helped them go away, even a bath. Shortly after I tried walking and it would bring them on and it was more painful than just tightening of your belly. If you literally can't walk when having this feeling of pain it is a real contraction

My midwife said its labor if its persistent and progressive. If you're having contractions walking will speed them along or make them go away if it's not the real thing.

Mine I think started yesterday with period like cramps and today just about evrytime I walk they start.

Doctor told me if you cannot talk or walk they are likely real contractions.

You're already better off than I am. I have felt nothing. I am 36 weeks and 4 days and don't know if I have had a single contraction, real or Braxton Hicks.
