What gifts does your hospital give you after you have your baby? Ftm

I'm honestly just curious. I've been over stocking my baby diaper bag with my own new born diapers and clothes etc. .... lol but I just recently heard that they do give you gifts and I'm over doing things.

Gifts, no. If there are left over wipes or diapers in your room you get those, and we got a sponge....

I wouldn't call them gifts per say but they do supply you with diapers, wipes, formula and a binky/pacifier! Some hospitals do a steak dinner for the expectant parents. The one we are delivering at rotates what they do! You get one of three things- a steak dinner for two, a fruit basket or receiving blankets. Good luck!

Ours sends home the basic baby stuff and a meal for mommy and daddy first night home!

You don't need to pack diapers for the baby. The hospital will provide pampers brand newborn diapers and formula if you need it. The only thing you need for baby is it's going home outfit.

My hospital sent us home with the package of newborn diapers and wipe that was opened for him, a tube of Vaseline, the little white hat he first wore and his first onsie, that was it. I brought a sleeper, going home outfits and swaddle blanket for him.

Hmm.. Our son just turned 2 in March so I feel like it was forever ago I was in the hospital haha. But from what I recall they gave us a small pack of diapers, wipes, binky, a gorgeous handmade blanket which he still loves to this day, little hates, a few receiving blankets... Um they had some mommy stuff in there to like the nipple cream for breast feeding, they provided some of the pads and tucks wipes for healing, some sample formula if you are going that route, more breastfeeding stuff mostly sample sized. It was just some odds and ends of the essentials. I had no clue the hospital even gave that stuff so I was totally shocked! I'm not sure what each hospital does but I'd imagine they all at least provide diapers. You could maybe call and ask ahead I'm not sure if they would tell you or not. I totally over packed my diaper bag for the hospital though but hey better safe then sorry 😉. Congrats and good luck!

They also give hats and little shirts socks and a bunch of swaddling blankets and mouth/nose suckers where I went to have my little girl
