Have you been counting calories while pregnant?

I count them but more as a guide so I don't go overboard.  I also don't like waking up in the middle
Of the night hungry so it helps me judge if I need a snack or a glass of milk before bed

I've just been watching the scale, 21 weeks and I've gained back the 11 pounds I lost in the first trimester. I have been making sure that I drink a bunch of water too.

I stopped counting calories while pregnant because I have a tendency to under eat when I'm counting. When I give birth I'll probably go back to counting because I want to lose a lot of weight before we have a second child. I'm hoping to lose about 70ish pounds if not more. Currently I just try to eat good foods and be healthy, I've only put on 7/8lbs so far.

No. I *try* to watch my carb intake. But sometimes I just want to eat. I've always had anxiety about food and eating so if my body is telling me to just eat the burrito once in a while, I'll give in.

I think I may have to start. I'm over weight so the OB said not to gain a lot of weight. So I've been pretty much eating what I always have. Nothing more yet. But I feel like it's not enough.  I never go hungry, but I want to make sure that the baby is getting enough.

I have GD so counting carbs sometimes leads to counting calories, I'm 24 weeks tomorrow and I had my first coke today. I drink water but came across a vanilla cherry Pepsi and decided to splurge.

I've been eating like crazy lately so I'm sure of I counted calories I'd be depriving myself. I try to ensure I eat as healthy as possible and only let myself have one treat a day (whether it be a cookie or a small bowl of ice cream). I still crave carbs like crazy and get easily grossed out by the texture of veggies so I stick to whatever is palatable even though it seems boring.

Nope but I am careful not to over eat. I made that mistake with my son and gained 25 lbs when I was only supposed to gain 15 lbs, I ended up with gestational diabetes. I'm now 22 weeks and I've only gained 4 lbs so I'm right on track this time 😊

I just try to make sure to eat as healthy as I can, or when I can; and keep up on my water intake!! :-)

I don't restrict myself I'm just aware of gestational diabetes so I weight myself everyday and count them( not religiously) just to see if a sudden weight gain is due to me eating much or maybe GD
