Advice on broadway musical tix for first-timers?

Hi ladies! My husband and I are going to visit my family in NYC next week and neither of us have ever watched a musical before. It's something we'd like to try, though! It's actually hubby's first time visiting America (he is Korean and we live abroad). Since he has some trouble with English, I was thinking maybe The Lion King would be a good choice - he already knows the story, and I assume it'd be easy to follow along even w/o understanding all the dialogue.
